Opportunity Information: Apply for W911NF25S0007

The Staff Research Program, offered by the Army Research Office (ARO), supports collaborative basic research between ARO scientific staff and external research institutions. Its goal is to help ARO scientists maintain and deepen their expertise in support of ARO's mission. Research must be conducted in partnership with eligible institutions, such as accredited universities with strong research programs in areas like engineering, life sciences, physics, mathematics, and computing.

ARO staff will actively participate in performing research at the partner institution’s labs or field sites, but they cannot serve as Principal Investigators or receive direct funding. Their work may result in co-authored publications and conference presentations, and may also support student education and training.

To protect the integrity and objectivity of ARO’s funding mission, staff members conducting research cannot be involved in administrative or funding decisions related to their host institutions. Participation is at ARO’s discretion and based on alignment of research interests.
